About Luckenbach

A Tiny Town with a Big Heart

Tucked into the rolling hills between Fredericksburg and Wimberley, Luckenbach is less a destination than a feeling. Home to just a handful of full-time residents, this historic settlement has drawn musicians, storytellers, and good-time Texans since the 1800s.

Immortalized by Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson's 1977 hit, Luckenbach embodies the easygoing soul of Texas. Pull up a chair under the oaks, catch a picker's circle by the old general store, and two-step the night away in the dance hall.

There are no strangers here—only friends you haven't met yet. That's the Luckenbach way.
